In business for over 100 years, Watato has been making Japanese sweets using kinako (roasted soybean flour) for generations. They are only producer in Tokyo that still makes gokabou by hand – a traditional Japanese wagashi that is a sweetened rice cake with kinako cut in a thumb-sized cylindrical shape. Recently, they have started a new brand called “Kinako Sweets Factory”, with the goal of introducing the benefits of kinako (healthy source of protein) to people today.
