Creating a levitating effect, the Pond Vase holds the flowers in the centre with an elegantly made Tung Hing glass exterior that protects the Yuet Tung fine porcelain tube.
By displacing water "outside" of the vase, it became the pond uniting every element of the design into a classic Chinese garden scene. The soft shaped glass merges with the transparency of water, as if only air was holding the
water that interacts with Yuet Tung classic goldfish prints on the porcelain. The fish wraps around the vase and changes the composition depending on the view angle, making it an elegant centrepiece in the room. The goldfish are magnified by the water in the vase, creating the illusion of them
swimming inside the pond.
