This is a classic "Gokabo" for kinako (roasted soybean flour) lovers. Only a few people in Tokyo – who are craftsmen that have more than 40 years of experience – can make this snack.
The glutinous rice puffs are wrapped in a dough made of syrup and soybean flour, which gives them a soft, chewy texture, and then coated with kinako powder that give it a savoury touch.
Each one is carefully handmade. The assortment includes kinako, almond, and green tea. The secret ingredient is salt from Tokyo.
